Payment fees only apply when you enable online payments on a paid event. Free events and manually recorded payments (cash, bank transfer) are never charged a transaction fee.
Common questions
Who pays the fee, me or my attendees?
The fee is split. Your attendees pay a small Paynow processing fee added on top of the ticket price at checkout. You absorb the service fee, deducted from your payout. Prefer a flat price for attendees? Use the toggle above to absorb all fees.
Will my attendees see the fee?
The Paynow processing fee, when passed on, is shown clearly at checkout before they confirm payment, so there are never any surprises. If you absorb all fees, they simply see the ticket price.
Does this apply to manually recorded payments?
No. If your staff records a cash or bank-transfer payment manually in the dashboard, no service fee applies. Fees only apply to payments processed online through Adnab.
Why is the card fee higher than mobile money?
Card payments carry higher underlying processing costs. Our fees reflect that: EcoCash and OneMoney are cheaper to process, so the fee is lower.
Can I absorb all fees so my attendees pay the exact ticket price?
Yes. Use the "I'll absorb all fees" toggle above to see your payout when you cover everything, including the Paynow processing fee. Your attendees then pay exactly the ticket price you set.
